Well, it's New Year's Eve and, what better way to end/start the year than with a Big Old Lottery Winning? Signs are everywhere. The prize amount is a palindrome (242) and the featured property on the WSJ today is in Big Sky, Montana, one of the sources of my dream-homes. Big Sky (if I'm correct) is where "The Yellowstone Club" is. The Yellowstone Club is a private skiing and golf community. Yes, the club will be open and you may be the only person on the slopes! Too cool. It's fun to simply check out but would be really cool to live there. Beautiful! Check it out. I'll see you on the slopes. I'll be the good-looking guy with the big grin who can't ski.

Did I mention this week I saw 3 Porsche Boxsters in one day? Certainly another sign as it was rated the most reliable sports car this past week. And who likes reliable? Yours truly. Have a safe new year's.

Good News and Bad News
Bad news is I didn't win the lottery. Good news is nobody did which means I'll win more tomorrow. We did win $2 on Friday, which is more than usual. If I can double that, then double, then double, we'll be talking real money. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Tomorrow is the next big day. And I've got two signs, all based around the winning amount. I'm playing with a friend, so we're sharing the risk and the payout. By my calculations, the jackpot (after taxes) for both of us will be $26.62 Million. I love palindromes and their patterns. And my partner, as well as my daughter, are named "Anna" - a palindrome. And, the center of the palindrome is "66", which is also the sum of my normal lottery numbers. Amazing. Now, if I can just figure out how the "Win the Lottery" dance goes, I'll be rich. Or at least pretty comfortable. Woo-hoo.

Lucky Man
Today I'm torn. The jackpot is $123 Million and I bought 2 tickets (actually 4 total as we'll share the pot if any of the 4 win) at Lucky's Convenience Mart. Now, I'm thinking if there's any place to win, it's at a place called Lucky's. But the place just doesn't give me the "lucky" feeling. Perhaps, in a way, that's the old reverse psychology thing working... Hope so. Anyway, I'm in and looking forward to the jackpot being $12 Million for Tuesday (my wife hopes so, too, ahem).
Here's the house I'll buy if we win!

No Luck
As luck would have it, I didn't win the $95 Million last week, but someone did. May he (or her) watch and spend his money wisely. I don't want to see them on "How the Lottery Ruined My Life." Bless them.
PS - There is a Lutheran church in Fort Mohave, Arizona where the ticket was sold. Now, we'll see who comes forward...

Another Sign - Luckys
Forgot about another sign. Seems a new convenience store opened on the route to work. What's the name? "Lucky's". If you want to buy a winning ticket, you don't go to "Losers." Or do you? Not this week. Lucky's or bust!
