My Quest to Win the Lottery. MegaMillions and PowerBall are the games to play, and only when the pot is greater than $100 Million.

Simple Sign
Simple sign today for the $550 Million Powerball lottery. A few weeks ago, I set up an appointment with a financial adviser to meet today. Really nothing to talk about, but they just wanted me to learn about their philosophy and what they offer. Pretty cool that I set it up weeks ago, only to meet on the Big Day. Then, as signs have it, when I returned to the office another planner stopped in. This guy helps billionaires, so I thought it was cool to chat with him. Crazy, small world. Full of signs.
I'm in it, let's win it.

End of the Church Year
Sunday was the last Sunday of the church year, as celebrated by many Protestant and the Catholic Church as Christ the King Sunday. The end of one year and the beginning of a new year. No better way to begin the new year than with a little lottery jackpot winning.

Oh yeah, mon.
It's coming together today for tomorrow. More signs. Sorta. It came to me this morning, that I have a friend who could come live with us if I get a ranch. At least for a while to teach us how to ride horses. She's a pro, and the kids would absolutely love learning to ride. Myself, I'm a little skittish of riding a horse, but think I could learn. Somehow it comes together.
Big Money hails from Louisiana and is proud to call herself Cajun. I was just looking up a recipe for turkey jambalaya (for Thanksgiving leftovers) and then this Cajun radio show comes on the Telluride radio station I've got on. What kind of crazy is that? That's a sign, baby.
Woo-hoo. Back to work...

It's Time
So, I don't update this too often. Just been busy, busy, busy. Plus, people keep winning before the jackpot gets too large. That's fine. Big Money and me could use the winnings, but that's a given. My sign this week is a rediscovery of a "Dream" home near Telluride, Colorado. Long story, but simply put, it was the first silly mansion I desired. The property and the views are nearly perfect. They had a website set up for the property, and boy, did it sell it. (Site's not there anymore.) Got me to want to move to Colorado. So, on a whim, I typed in the street it is on, and, wait for it.... it's for sale again! Now's the big chance! I'll share the location when I win. Then, we'll have to see about airfares.... Til then, have fun and be good.

Update - Off By A Little
So, I made a little mistake in analysis yesterday, since the jackpot is $73 Million rather than $70. Not my birth year anymore. Oops. But better than that is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album came out in 1973. March 1973 or 3/73. On that album is one of Pink Floyd's most famous tunes, and very appropriate for the occasion, Money. And today is 08/28. I can almost hear the cash register ring as the alarm clock sounds. Gonna be a good night. Now, just have to remember to get the tickets...

Still Going Strong
I love the palindromes, both with numbers and with letters. Madam I'm Adam. racecar. Anna, Bob, Mom, Dad. Patterns are fun and show a sharpened brain and wit in my opinion. Genetics and math are also famous for these patterns. And one pattern leads to another, ultimately leading to millions of dollars for a lottery player - moi. The key this week is the pattern from my FB Friends - a perfect 434, containing my favorite athletic number of all time - Herschel Walker's 34. If I had played that as the Mega Ball (and one regular number)this past weekend (plus a magical other 5 numbers) I would have won! That's simply amazing! How cool would that have been? Yeah, this blog would have pictures, that's for sure. So, the stars are lining up pretty well (whatever that means and if the sky's clear) and it's time to jump in a little. Big money gave me a few Washingtons to help the cause, too. Oh-yeah. The pot is at $70 Million and I was born in 1970. Sign. Seal. Deliver.
See you on the other side.

Woohoo. Don't have much time 'cause the big drawing's soon (less than 1/2 hour). Let's see, the signs for the week.
1. Saw a double rainbow just before buying ticket. That's huge.
2. Jackpot is $181 million, which is a palindrome of the Jewish chai (18) that I've mentioned before. 18 going forward, 18 going backward. Life, baby.
3. About to head on vacation to where pretty much my first "dream" home is, and it's for sale again. Perfect timing to be on vacay when winning the lottery, I say.
I've got more, but that's all for tonight.
Me and Big Money will be dancing with Mickey soon. Oh-yeah!
Out.

Big Lottery Question
What's the most common question related to the lottery? Near the top has to be, "Would you keep working?" That's an easy "yes" and "no." I would finish up the work I have currently, and then I'd be hitting the door. The nature of "work" would change. Managing properties and businesses is "work." Mending fences and creating nature trails is work, too. So, I'd keep "working," but that would change. Hey, I've got that Norwegian, Mid-West, Lutheran blood in me. Now, gotta get back to work.

Money Money Money, Part Deaux
Nope, I don't know French. French fries, French bulldogs, and French toast, I'm good. French language, not so much. But that's okay.
Yesterday, March 28, 2012, found me purchasing lottery tickets - $2 with my Tuesday winnings and $5 of my own money (well, sorta, since Big Money reimburses and buys other tickets). That's $7 in. But, another winner was bought at the Liquor store. Yep, the liquor store is the source of many lottery winners, so it makes sense. And, I used a lucky dollar in there. Yep, one of the lucky dollars from the car went into the liquor store in trade for the perfect, Randomly selected ticket. And yes, it really may be.
The meganumber is 36 - twice Chai or a Jewish term for "life" and "living." That number is also one of the regular numbers. Two double lifes or livings! Plus, I've always thought 11 would be a part of the win - it's there. Plus the double 11, 22. And, my all-time favorite athlete and childhood hero's number 34. As in Herschel Walker! Go Dawgs! And one other mystery number (secret). Sounds good to me.
Let's roll! Come on, Big Money!

Money Money Money
So the lottery is now $500 Million. That's half a billion! Wow. What a blessing it would be to swim in that for a little while. The odds are steep, but someone's going to win. Here's to some fantastic fortune!
The latest of signage occurred yesterday as I was going to purchase my plays. On Tuesday we (Big Money and me) won $2! Oh-yeah. So, I've got my ticket for 5 plays and get out of the car. Right there where my foot's going to step is a penny, heads-up. Everybody knows that's good luck. So, I take my little winner, $5, and my filled-in ticket to the clerk and she tells me I've got $2 and do I want to play that money. It's free money, after all, and I say, "That'll work." It's quite possible that little action leads to a payout. Works for me.

Here We Go Again!
This has been a trying few weeks as I've been watching my lottery investments flow out. But I'm confident it's been for a great cause and I will be repaid when the numbers are selected tomorrow night (Tuesday March 27, 2012). The sticker price on the drawing is currently $363 Million, up from $356 earlier today, and may go higher before the drawing. Which leads to a small dilemma for yours truly. You see, I've got two $1 bills that have been in my car for years waiting on the right time to play them (they're lucky and still are until they're proven "unlucky"). The time to play them is when the jackpot is at a record level. The record is $390 Million (annuitized) which is still larger than this one. Yet, the cash value of tomorrow's is $259 Million, which surpasses the old record of $240 Million. So, is it time to play, or wait until it's truly a record? Hmmm. I think I'll wait.
But I will be playing with Big Money for the drawing tomorrow. She's entrusted me with $5 to which I'll add $5 and then we'll walk away with $76 Million or so apiece. That's what I'm talking about. Let's cash that check, Big Money!
The signs. I was told years ago I wouldn't win until I saw a green Porsche. Not in a picture, but in person. Well, Sunday we went to look at a car (which was the wrong car for me) but right there next to the road was a used, green 2009 911 Carrera S. If you know me, you'll know I've basically sworn off new cars, so the used 911 is perfect. Will test drive it upon victory. And then keep my Corolla :)
Another sign is simpler and repeats itself. Every time I'm mowing my parents' lawn, I envision it being my last time. I actually like cutting grass, but there is a time when you hand that job to someone else. Now, I would keep cutting grass, but I wouldn't have to! What joy and freedom!
That's all. See you on the other side - with a big check and a smile!

Powerball Changes
Powerball is going to change to $2 per play January 15. Perhaps this is the change I need. We'll see what it means. The article I read stated the odds were going to be better to win and jackpots would increase faster. Good luck to me.
