Here We Go Again!

This has been a trying few weeks as I've been watching my lottery investments flow out. But I'm confident it's been for a great cause and I will be repaid when the numbers are selected tomorrow night (Tuesday March 27, 2012). The sticker price on the drawing is currently $363 Million, up from $356 earlier today, and may go higher before the drawing. Which leads to a small dilemma for yours truly. You see, I've got two $1 bills that have been in my car for years waiting on the right time to play them (they're lucky and still are until they're proven "unlucky"). The time to play them is when the jackpot is at a record level. The record is $390 Million (annuitized) which is still larger than this one. Yet, the cash value of tomorrow's is $259 Million, which surpasses the old record of $240 Million. So, is it time to play, or wait until it's truly a record? Hmmm. I think I'll wait.
But I will be playing with Big Money for the drawing tomorrow. She's entrusted me with $5 to which I'll add $5 and then we'll walk away with $76 Million or so apiece. That's what I'm talking about. Let's cash that check, Big Money!
The signs. I was told years ago I wouldn't win until I saw a green Porsche. Not in a picture, but in person. Well, Sunday we went to look at a car (which was the wrong car for me) but right there next to the road was a used, green 2009 911 Carrera S. If you know me, you'll know I've basically sworn off new cars, so the used 911 is perfect. Will test drive it upon victory. And then keep my Corolla :)
Another sign is simpler and repeats itself. Every time I'm mowing my parents' lawn, I envision it being my last time. I actually like cutting grass, but there is a time when you hand that job to someone else. Now, I would keep cutting grass, but I wouldn't have to! What joy and freedom!
That's all. See you on the other side - with a big check and a smile!
