In It To Win It

Alright. Today's jackpot was at $290M last night, increased to $330M this morning, and by the time I was able to go get a play, it was and is $355 Million. Whoa. That's life-changing money right there. But it almost didn't happen for me today. See, I am a little short on the cash right now after spending a wonderful weekend with the family. So, my wallet had $2 in it and I had to park in the garage today, which means more money. I had to have $10 to play (to match my partner Big Money's $5 pledge)and didn't know how it would work out. I try to keep a 20 in the car "just in case" and today was the day to use it to get out of the garage. The fee was $8 and she gave me $10 and $2 in quarters! Perfect! The $10 I needed came to me. I told her such and she said to remember her. If I didn't, she'd be on Oprah or Jerry Springer talking about her baby's daddy. LOL. Anyway, all it takes is one, and I've got 10. Should be more than enough.
Plus, as an added sign, I've had a dream for a long time that 1-11 would be the winner for me. I didn't know that meant January 2011, but that's too cool! I was wrong about winning the last draw of 2010. It was the first draw of 2011.
Look for me tomorrow. I'll be the good-looking guy with a big grin. Woo-Hoo.
Plus, plus. I found another store called "Luckys." Used to be my favorite stop when it was called Rays. Here's to old times.

Signs

Sign of the day was simply hearing the Tesla song "Signs" playing on the radio on the return trip from Jacksonville. Now, just need to get some tickets.

OMG

OMG, the pot thickens! To the tune of $290 Million smackeroos. After taxes and cash value, that's well over $100 Million. Life-changing moolah, huh? I'm all over that cash! Oh-yeah. So, what signs have been offered up? The coolest one came from the convenience store clerk Saturday morning when I was gassing up the mini. I saw on the monitor that the jackpot had increased so I said, "Looks like I didn't win last night" and she says to me, "It's rolling over for you to win Tuesday, honey" as I went out the door. Shoot, I shoulda bought from her right then and there. But I think she's right, and I'll buy her some nice stuff come Wednesday, that's for sure. Another sign of good luck (maybe not lottery, though) came today riding in the mini with my real honey. She was commenting on "weird" newer band names that didn't make any sense, like Foo Fighters and GooGoo Dolls and I said, "yeah like Alan Parsons Project." Then, the next song on the radio happened to be an Alan Parsons Project song, "Games People Play" (which could also refer to lotteries, ahem). That's what I'm talking about!
